Basic Details About GOP Patriots And Policies They Have

Republican Party is commonly known as GOP which means Grand Old Party and among the only two major political parties in United States. They were named after the dominant value amid American Revolution which is republicanism. Among their founders are former members of Whigs and Free Soilers with economic modernizers and activist against slavery.

The current ideology is American conservatism and its platform involves the support for deregulation, fiscal conservatism, free market capitalism, free enterprise, labor union restrictions, and strong national defense. Located everywhere are volunteer organizations which includes Potomac GOP Patriots that will reach to communities out to advocate, discuss and campaign conservative principles. These are district subcommittee in their place.

They look in promoting traditional values based largely in ethics of Judeo Christian because they are socially conservative. Abortion, illegal immigration, gun control, marijuana use, same sex marriage and affirmative action are what they oppose. They support also the status change of Puerto Rico into becoming a state for the Union instead of being a territory of United States.

They believe strongly that economic prosperity have primary factors in individual achievement and the free markets. Elimination of welfare programs run by government are advocated while they favor to help poor people through charity with the private sectors. Social assistance programs might result to dependency to state and individuals must be responsible regarding their circumstances.

They advocate the supply side economics theory that states having lower tax rates would increase economic growth. Most Republicans are against tax rates being higher for those that earn more due to their belief that those creating wealth and job are being targeted unfairly. Rather than government spending, they believe private spending is more efficient.

They believe that employment practices should be established by corporations themselves including wages and benefits with the value decided by free market. Labor unions have opposed them generally because they support laws against them. Minimum wage increase was opposed because this hurts businesses by forcing jobs outsourcing and cutting with the costs being passed to consumers.

They support strict constructionism or judicial philosophy of interpreting the Constitution as close as applicable to its original intent. Judicial restraint is favored which encourages limits to judges when exercising their powers and upholds precedent established by past judges. They believe federalism though federal authorities must have limitations and states would have larger roles.

Historically, their leaders support environmental regulations and policies for its protection were signed before. Their position though has since been changed then from combating climate change as their previous goal to becoming non believers of its existence. Limitations against emissions of carbon and the greenhouse gas are rejected which draws criticism from activists. Although other members which have higher positions have different beliefs regarding climate change that is unusual with them.

Dealing with illegal immigration among the Republicans is different with establishment types that supports migrant workers having the path to citizenship. Populists though support in securing the border and deporting illegal immigrants. International relations and their defense is influenced heavily by theories faceless forces conflicts rather than leaders influencing it.
