Almost all people wanted to have brand new clothes that are on the trend. The satisfaction of the people could not be achieved easily. The always look for something new to their eyes that is why clothing shops always releases a bunch of style of clothing that would look appealing to their consumers.

Most garments and clothing, especially in those that are in places where cold climate occurs often, are using animals skins because they are very thick and is an effective way in combating the cold weather. Sheepskin is one of those animal skins that have been used by some clothing lines in incorporating in some of their apparels. But you should know that not all clothing lines are using a genuine sheepskin, others only use a faux sheepskin rug.

A faux or a fake sheepskin comes from the skin of the sheep and is made with artificial fibers only. They are normally used in order to be a component of certain clothing like jacket or boots. When you are planning to buy some garments but you want to have that genuine skin, here are some tips on how to find out a real from fake ones.

Glance at the brand names. Keep in mind that there are brand names which are using both the synthetic and the real ones. If you have an idea as to what brand names are using the true ones then use it as your advantage. Never forget also to be aware of those that are bringing a brand name but is actually fake.

Examine the label. Each and every genuine clothes has a hooked up label. The labels of clothes and garments are normally found at the sides, like in a scarf and in a jacket. The labels of every garment would speak of what comprises the clothing itself.

Ask for the price. If upon asking the price, the saleslady would tell you cheaper price then doubt it. Genuine sheepskins are definitely costly because it is not easy to acquire one. If the garment is really using a genuine skin, they would really put a higher price in it because aside from being hard to acquire it, the supply is also low.

Touch and stroke it. When you feel that the garment is a bit rough then it is probably fake. A genuine skin of sheep is totally smooth and soft upon touching it. A fake one feels coarse because it is only made of manufactured compounds.

Strike a pin through the cloth. When you strike the pin through cloth and it passes smoothly then it is probably a synthetic skin because this type is blended with plastic fiber so the pin can run smoothly in it. However, those real skins are very compact and rigid since they really come from real sheep unlike those faux skins which are only artificial. When you strike a pin through a true skin, it would often recoil because of its compactness.

Make sure that when you go to your nearest mall, you have the idea on how to detect a genuine sheepskin from a synthetic one. Various boutiques and shops claim that they offer only those garments that have genuine animal skin material. If you are not very watchful and not well informed, you may not be able to detect who is saying the truth and who is not.
