Now in order to harness the power of nature, what these people do is that they would perform certain rituals that can summon these powers. All kinds of Wiccan rituals would have a certain outline that they would follow in order to be performed. If one is taking up the art of magick, he will be learning this outline.
Of course the very first thing to do would be to make sure that one would clean himself and his soul. Now this step is very vital to the process simply because in order to communicate with nature, one needs to first be cleansed. One can do this by taking a cleansing bath, by doing a fast, or doing something else to cleanse his soul.
Of course once the cleansing is already done, then he has to make sure that he clean the place wherein he will do his ritual. So he must remember that there would be no dirt or no clutter in the area. So in order to do this, he has to make sure that he would vacuum the area or sweep the area to make sure that there is no dirt.
Now after the physical cleaning has been done, then the next step would be to do a spiritual cleaning. Now what most people would do is that they would use a spiritual broom to take out all of the astral dust that can be found in the area. Astral clutter is said to be a disturbance to the ritual which is why the practitioner has to first make sure that he sweeps them all away before performing a ritual.
The next step in the process is the casting of the circle. In this circle, the practitioner is protected from any harm and is free to perform his ritual without any disturbance from the outside factors. Now he may make the circle from any material that he desires depending on the style.
Now after everything has already been done, then one can now perform the ritual. Now this would of course involve a lot of chanting and spells. Now these spells are what will help the practitioner be able to use his energy to cast the spell.
When the spell has already been casted, then the very last thing to do would be to close the circle. In the closing, one will be thanking the gods and the goddesses for the power that was given. This way, the energy will be balanced once again and no stray energy will have a chance to get out of the circle.
